A wonderland of talent in our February Workshops

February saw the launch of Artisan Wonderland workshop series, with many participants trying their hand at a variety of workshops including felt slipper making, acrylic painting and basket weaving. Some for the very first time. From the wonderful feedback received, all had a fantastic time and thoroughly enjoyed their Artisan Wonderland adventure!
A big thank you to all those that came along to the various workshops, and a another big thank you to our tutors this month, Mieke den Otter, Graeme Mourilyan and Angela Geertsma for providing excellent leadership and sharing your wealth of knowledge and creative talents with workshop participants.
Our tutors and participants really got into the creative spirit of the workshops and this was so evident with the abundance of beautiful work created during this time.
Through the workshops in February we will now have a number of very warm feet this winter for those in our felting workshop, a group of extremely talented painters that fine tuned their painting techniques and a group of basket makers completing their hand-woven baskets from gorgeous plants and fibres compliments of the gardens at Rockton House. One couldn't have asked for more serene settings to explore the wonderland of art.

See the Wonderland Gallery page for photos of February's workshops. And our Wonderland Artists profiles pages.

  1. I had a wonderful time at the felt slipper making workshop with a fantastic group of ladies. This wonderful series of workshops is such a gift to the community and I’d like to thank all of the organisers and artist involved (and the sponsors). I do hope I am able to participate in more workshops over the course of the year. Bring on the cold weather I have some stylish new slippers that need testing out!
